LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Kentucky congressman says the looming sequestration can't be blamed on the President.
Representative John Yarmuth says the President Obama didn't bring this move on and that the President doesn't have a single vote to fix it either.
The Louisville representative says that if the cuts do take effect, the region could suffer greatly in large part due to services that would be cut or reduced at Fort Knox. The move will also affect those looking to get help from the IRS as the agency moves into the heart of tax season.
The congressman says getting a budget passed could help things but there is a large divide between the two parties.
Yarmuth says the real deadline to watch for is March 27. On that date, the Federal government will run out of spending authority resulting in a government shutdown.
