FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Governor Beshear offers his thoughts on some of the legislation making its way through the General Assembly.
The Governor says two things lawmakers must address this year, whether it's during this short session or a special session later, is pension reform, to cut the unfunded liability, and tax reform to help pay for it.
He also says he likes the statewide smoking ban bill, that has cleared a House committee, especially since half of Kentuckians currently live in cities of counties that have already enacted similar laws.
