LOUISVILLE, Ky-- The Bluegrass Institute claims the KFC Yum! Center is losing $1 million a month, costing tax payers money.  It's calling for new appointments to the arena board, more transparency, and for the University of Louisville to renegotiate its lease with the venue.

Bluegrass Institute's Jim Waters says taxpayers put up $75 million to get the arena built, and deserve access to board meeting minutes and financial records. The institute also believes the terms of UofL's current lease prevent a professional sports team from calling the arena home, something it claims is necessary for success.

Larry Hayes, Chairman of the Arena Authority, is out of the country. He has not been available for comment.
