WASHINGTON DC-- Senator Mitch McConnell is condemning the attacks in Libya that killed US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. He says the murder of innocent Americans will be met with resolve. He says America won't be deterred by the acts of violent extremists. McConnell says the attack reminds us of the sacrifices made on a daily basis by foreign service officers and diplomatic security personnel.

Senator Rand Paul says he is "heartbroken and outraged" by the attacks. He says the perpetrators of the senseless attack must be brought to justice. He's calling on Libyan police to hand over suspects to US officials. He says US aid to Libya should be contingent on that support.
