FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky State Police held their fifth annual Motorcycle Safety Day at their Frankfort headquarters, Friday.
Motorcycle crashes are up 50-percent over last year, according to KSP Lieutenant David Jude, so they are starting a two-pronged program.
He urges motorcyclists to be aware that drivers of cars and trucks may not always be able to see them, due to blind spots. He also says drivers should keep an eye out for motorcyclists, saying "Look twice, save a life."
Jude adds, there have been changes in getting a motorcycle license. We have a link to that information HERE
