FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Teen pregnancy rates are dropping in Kentucky.

The CDC reports that the percentage of teenage mothers is at its lowest since the 1940s. Still, Kentucky has one of the highest rates in the country with nearly five percent of teen girls being pregnant.

Experts are encouraged by the trend, but say work is far from over. They're stressing the need for better education on abstinence and the use of contraceptives.
